New Delhi: During the Delhi assembly budget session, there was a lot of uproar on the issue of the Delhi riots. MLA from Okhla, Amanatullah Khan blamed BJP for the riots. On this, the BJP MLAs started creating a ruckus, and one MLA reached Vell. The proceedings of the House had to be postponed amidst the uproar.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Okhla, Amanatullah Khan was keeping the first report of the Welfare of Minority Committee of Delhi Assembly in the House. Amanatullah Khan said that in the Delhi riots, the Delhi government had announced compensation for property damage and injured, some people could not get it. We had put this matter in front of the committee. We tried for this. 54 people were killed in the riots, 11 were Hindus, 43 were Muslims. Delhi government gave 10 lakh rupees per person. 244 injured were compensated. Besides, 724 properties and 1190 commercial properties were compensated. BJP leaders got their name
Amanatullah Khan said that since independence there have been 48 thousand casualties so far, but the Delhi government is the first government to work on finding one man and compensate each other. Most of the riots took place under Congress rule. The 1992 Ayodhya case took place across the country and in 2002, the BJP government in Gujarat. No one got a penny. The tragedy that took place in Delhi in 2020 was also due to BJP. Amanatullah took the name of BJP leader Ragini Tiwari, Kapil Mishra in the House to incite a riot in Delhi. Expressing objections to Amanatullah, BJP MLAs started a ruckus, and MLA from Gandhinagar Anil Bajpai came to the well. Expressing his objection, the speaker of the assembly directed Anil Bajpai to be marshalled out. Due to the uproar, the proceedings of the House were adjourned for 15 minutes.
On the resumption of the proceedings of the House, Leader of Opposition Rambir Singh Bidhuri called Amanatullah Khan's objection and demanded that the speaker be taken out of the proceedings. The speaker instructed them to call Anil Vajpayee again in the House and said that he should stay restrained in the House. For Amanatullah, he said that he should speak with restraint in the House, feelings are his place but the report is his place. Despite this, the uproar continued. Referring to the names of Kapil Mishra and Ragini Tiwari, Amanatullah again said, 'At whose behest did the Delhi Police do this, is the BJP not involved in this? Is BJP's Home Minister not involved in this? ' Amid the uproar, the speaker ended Amanatullah's statement.
