New Delhi. A shortage of the Covid-19 vaccine is being reported in many states of the country struggling to defend against the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Even more than half of the vaccination centers have been closed in many states. Vaccination of youth is also being emphasized in many states. Chief Minister and Health Minister of the states are in constant touch with the Central Government regarding the reduction in vaccine stocks in the infected states of the country, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar rejected the Maharashtra government's claim of lack of vaccine and said that states like Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab, and Chhattisgarh are trying to create panic to hide their shortcomings. Have been. Statements related to the lack of vaccines and the demand to vaccinate all the youth above 18 years of age are being given in this context.

Only 4-5 days vaccine stock in Delhi

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Thursday that the vaccine stock now in the national capital is only for the next 4-5 days. He hoped and said that the vaccine has been sought and we will get it.

Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta on Thursday spoke of the lack of the Covid-19 vaccine in the state. The Health Minister said, 'We have stock of vaccine for the next one or two days. We have demanded the vaccine from the Union Home Minister and it is expected that they will complete it. '

Maharashtra does not have an adequate dose of vaccine

Vaccine shortages are being reported in vaccine centers operating in several states of the country. It also includes Maharashtra, the state most vulnerable to infection, where the number of new cases coming every day is more than 50 thousand. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, 'Gujarat accounts for half the population of Maharashtra. So far Gujarat has been given a dose of 10 million vaccines whereas we have been given only 1.04 lakh vaccine doses. The Health Minister said, “14 lakh vaccines are left in the state for only three days. The Health Minister said that due to lack of vaccine many vaccination centers have to be closed. That is why they have demanded the central government to provide 40 lakh doses of the vaccine at the earliest.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana also sought vaccine from the center

There is very little stock of the Covid-19 vaccine left in Telangana. According to State Health Minister E. Rajendra, additional doses of corona vaccine have been demanded from the Center. At the same time, Andhra Pradesh has demanded one crore doses of vaccine from the central government.

Vaccination centers closed in Odisha

The Government of Odisha has written a letter to the Central Government asking for its vaccine. According to the state government, they have only three days of stock. Odisha has asked the Center to provide 15 to 20 lakh doses of Covishield to the state. Odisha says that half the vaccination centers in the state have been closed.

Today 1,26,789 new cases came

According to the Union Health Ministry, 1,26,789 new cases of infection were reported on Thursday morning. The number of new cases coming daily crossed the 1 lakh mark on this Monday for the first time and more than 1 lakh 26 thousand new cases were recorded for the third consecutive day. The second wave of this year is moving much faster than the first wave of last year's epidemic. The government alleges that the cases of infection have increased due to the negligence of the people. In this sequence, New Zealand has prohibited the entry of passengers from India for two weeks.

Opposition parties are condemning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to supply the vaccine to other countries. They say that despite the lack of vaccines in their country, it is wrong to send a large consignment of vaccines to other countries. Let us know that India is the largest vaccine manufacturer in the world. The Serum Institute of India has demanded 30 billion rupees to increase its capacity for the manufacture of AstraZeneca shot. Let us know that the Serum Institute has supplied 90 percent of the 88 million vaccine doses in the country. An indigenously developed vaccine is also being used by the government institute and Bharat Biotech in India (India), which is struggling to strengthen its output.
