The two-day first All India State Ministers Annual Conference on the theme 'Water Vision 2047' has been organized from January 5 in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the conference through video conferencing. He said that today India is doing unprecedented work in water security and is also making unprecedented investments. States' efforts for water conservation will go a long way in achieving the nation's collective goals. PM Modi said that maximum work should be done on the water under MNREGA.

Geo mapping and geo sensing play an important role in water conservation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that technologies like geo-mapping and geo-sensing are playing an important role in the work of water conservation. Many states have done a good job in this and many states are moving in this direction. For water conservation, the Center has started the Atal Ground Water Conservation Scheme.

Industry and agriculture are two such sectors, in which the requirement for water is high. Both these sectors should run water conservation campaigns together and people should be made aware.
Benefits gained from 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'
When people joined the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', consciousness and awareness also came to the public. The government mobilized resources and did many works like water treatment plants and toilets. But the success of the campaign was ensured when the public thought not to spread filth. The same thinking has to be awakened in the public for water conservation.
