The two-day first All India State Ministers Annual Conference on the theme 'Water Vision 2047' has been organized from January 5 in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the conference through video conferencing. He said that today India is doing unprecedented work in water security and is also making unprecedented investments. States' efforts for water conservation will go a long way in achieving the nation's collective goals. PM Modi said that maximum work should be done on the water under MNREGA.

Many states have done a good job in this and many states are moving in this direction. For water conservation, the Center has started the Atal Ground Water Conservation Scheme.
