'Well played', PM tweets his congrats to victorious Indian team

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his congratulations to the Indian cricket team for its victory over Pakistan in a World Cup pool match in Adelaide.

"Congrats Team India. Well played. We are all very proud of you," the prime minister wrote on his Twitter handle @narendramodi.

India defeated Pakistan by 76 runs in their first Pool B match of the World Cup at the Adelaide Oval Sunday. Chasing India's 300/7, Pakistan were bowled out for 224.
