Around 50 tourists who reached the tourist destination Sonmarg to enjoy the snowfall have been rescued by the police. After the snowfall in Kashmir for the last two days, these tourists who came to see the snow in the high-altitude areas of Sonmarg were stuck there. SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar said that when these tourists reached there to enjoy the snow lying in the upper area of Sonmarg, Gagangir, they got stuck there. Due to the thick blanket of snow on the road, the vehicles got stuck there. They came to know about these people after which Ganderbal Police launched a special operation these tourists were first brought from Gagangir to Sonmarg and there they were sent to Srinagar after providing relief material.
