New Delhi, March 22 (IANS) BJP leader Arun Jaitley Saturday said he would miss P. Chidambaram after the finance minister opted out of the Lok Sabha elections.
"My friend, P. Chidambram, the finance minister, has opted out of the election. He is entitled to make his decision," Jaitley said on his blog.
"Some of the better debates in parliament and outside (including digs at each other) were between the two of us. I will certainly miss him," he said.
Chidambaram is unlikely to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and his son Karti Chidambaram will be the Congress candidate from the finance minister's constituency of Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu.
