Relief came amidst the second wave of Corona in the country. On Monday, 3 lakh 29 thousand 379 new infections were identified, but 3.55 lakh infected were cured. This happened 62 days later when more patients outnumbered the epidemic than new patients. Earlier on March 9, 17,873 corona-positive patients were identified and 20,643 people were cured.
It is also a matter of relief that the number of new infections found on Monday is the lowest in the last 15 days. Earlier, on April 26, 3.19 lakh cases were reported. In the last 24 hours, 3,877 people lost their lives due to the epidemic. With this, there was a decrease of 30,412 in the active case. Earlier on March 9, there was a decrease of 2909 in the active case.

Death toll from Corona crosses 2.5 lakhs
The death toll from Corona in India has crossed 2.5 lakhs. The first death from Corona in the country was recorded on 12 March 2020. After that, it took 156 days to cross the 50 thousand mark. But in the last 50 thousand people died, in just 13 days. Maharashtra accounts for about 30.82% of Corona deaths in India. Delhi holds 7.86%, Karnataka 7.63%, Uttar Pradesh 6.28%, and Tamil Nadu 6.36%. The remaining 41.05% includes all other states and union territories.
Restrictions like lockdown in 17 states
There are complete lockdown-like restrictions in 17 states of the country. These include Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Goa, and Puducherry. There are stringent restrictions like the previous lockdown.
Partial lockdown in 15 states/union territories
There is a partial lockdown in 15 states and union territories of the country. That is, there are restrictions here, but there are also exemptions. These include Punjab, Jammu, and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Gujarat.
Corona Updates
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 30 crores 56 lakh 187 sample tests have been done for the coronavirus in India till Monday. Out of which 18 lakh 50 thousand 110 samples were tested on the previous day.

State of major states
1. Maharashtra
37,236 people were found infected on Monday. 61,607 people recovered and 549 died. So far, 51.38 lakh people in the state have been infected. Of these, 44.69 lakh people have been cured, while 76,398 people have died. 5.90 lakh patients are still undergoing treatment.
2. Uttar Pradesh
On Monday, 21,277 people were found infected. 29,709 people recovered and 278 people died. So far, 15.24 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 12.83 lakh have been cured, while 15,742 patients succumbed. 2.25 lakh patients are being treated here.
3. Delhi
On Monday, 12,651 people were found corona positive in Delhi. This figure is the lowest in the past month. 13,306 people recovered and 319 died. So far, 13.36 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 12.31 lakh people have been cured, while 19,663 patients have died. 85, 258 is being treated here.
4. Chhattisgarh
On Monday, 11,867 people were found corona infected Monday. 13,138 people recovered and 172 died. So far, 8.63 lakh people have been infected by the infection in the state. Of these, 7.27 lakh people have been cured, while 10,742 patients have died. 1.25 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
5. Gujarat
