Weather Update: Mercury will rise in these areas before Holi, IMD predicts rain and snowfall in hilly areas

The weather started changing before Holi. The heat wave is being witnessed in most of the states across the country. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature will increase in most of the states of the country in the coming days. However, the IMD has predicted light rain and thundershowers over hilly areas.

 

Forecast of snowfall and rain in hilly areas

The Meteorological Department said that there may be light rain and snowfall in the hilly areas during the next five days. According to IMD, light snowfall and rain may occur at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand during the next five days.

 

How will be the weather in Delhi-NCR?

At the same time, the weather is likely to remain dry in Delhi-NCR during the next five days. Apart from this, the wind speed will remain high for three days in the capital. It is estimated that the wind speed may remain in the range of 20 to 30 kmph. Its direction is likely to be northwest. It will also be partly cloudy on Saturday.

 

How will be the weather in these states?

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana during the next five days. However, light rain may occur over West Rajasthan during the next four days. Apart from this, IMD has predicted light rain at some places in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh tomorrow (Sunday).

 

Possibility of a heat wave in many districts of South India

At the same time, the Meteorological Department told the states of South India that the temperature will increase in Karnataka. Heatwave conditions are likely to continue over Karnataka even today. Along with this, an increase in temperature will be recorded in many districts of North Kerala for the next few days.
