Afghanistan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad was seen smoking a cigarette on the ground during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match. This incident is from the match played between Minister Dhaka and Comilla Victorians. Shahzad is playing for the Minister Dhaka team. Before the start of the match, Shahzad started smoking cigarettes on the ground itself. This photo of Shahzad is going viral on social media. Due to this behavior of Shahzad, one demerit point has also been deducted from his discipline record.

 

Two matches were to be played in Bangladesh Premier League on Friday, but both the matches were canceled due to rain. Mohammad Shahzad stood with his other Afghan teammates as they waited for the match to start due to rain. During this time he started smoking cigarettes.

 

After this, Minazur Rahman, the coach of Minister Dhaka, gave a warning to Shahzad, and opener batsman Tamim Iqbal took him to the dressing room with him.

 

Shahzad admits mistake

 

Shehzad later admitted his mistake and accepted the decision taken by the referee. The Bangladesh Cricket Board issued a statement saying that Shahzad has accepted his mistake. Therefore, there is no need for an official hearing.
