This demand of Kejriwal was seen as his Hindu card, however, his statement was widely criticized by people expecting a different kind of politics from Kejriwal. The experts on the economy had also termed this statement of Kejriwal as absurd.

Kejriwal has once again thrown a similar googly, which people associated with BJP or RSS will not be able to oppose. He has said that on one hand, China is encroaching on the borders of our country, but instead of stopping it, the central government is working to reward it. India imports goods worth thousands of crores of rupees from China every year. This includes toys, electrical goods as well as very common items like spectacles, which can be made in the country itself. He said that if adequate facilities are given to Indian entrepreneurs, India will not only avoid importing these goods but will also start exporting them to foreign countries including China. He appealed to the people not to buy Chinese products, even if the price is double, people should buy Indian products only. This will strengthen the economy of our country. Hardly anyone opposes the demand of Kejriwal.

However, experts believe that this problem can be tackled by providing better technology to growers. India is moving forward on this policy in sports, solar energy equipment, and mobile phone manufacturing.

Dr. Nagendra Kumar Sharma said that there are many areas in which India is not in a position to boycott China even if it wants to. This includes solar energy, power equipment, medical equipment, and machines used to manufacture various items. India is now hosting the G-20 and has a huge responsibility to meet the green energy target of COP-26. India is almost 100 percent dependent on China for solar power equipment. Especially in the case of solar panels and batteries, it is badly dependent on China. If we boycott Chinese products, we will not be able to meet the clean energy goal on time.
India is also almost completely dependent on China in the matter of health equipment. India is also dependent on China for surgical equipment, bed-making materials, and cleaning equipment. India cannot even think of banning them because they will have to be paid with the lives of people due to their connection with health facilities.
He said that for this India will have to make a long-term strategy. Just as the central government has started giving opportunities to companies in the manufacture of batteries, solar panels, and toys, work will have to be done in all areas. Only then India will be able to compete with China. However, this may take three to four decades. Due to technical constraints, one should not expect immediate results in this area.
