Hathras case: Rahul Gandhi leaves Delhi to meet the victim's family

Posted on 3rd Oct 2020 by rohit kumar

There is a possibility of a tussle between Rahul Gandhi and UP Police on the Delhi-Noida border on Saturday on the Hathras case.

Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi has said that no power in the world can stop him from meeting the victim's family. He has left the party headquarters for Hathras with his sister and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

In the videos that have appeared, Priyanka Gandhi can be seen driving a car. While Rahul Gandhi is seen sitting next to his sister.

On the other hand, the UP Police has made a heavy deployment of police on the Delhi-Noida border. Section 144 has been imposed in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Budh Nagar district. Checking is being done seriously at the border. Looking at the attitude of the UP Police, it seems that it is not in the mood to allow Congress leaders to enter Uttar Pradesh.

Senior Noida Police officer Ranvijay Singh has said that 'Congress leaders should not try to violate Section-144 in the era of Covid epidemic. A police force is deployed to control the illegal public meeting on the Delhi-Noida border. We are constantly appealing for peace. We try our best to understand this and return.

The Congress party alleges that 'the BJP government of UP has taken away the rights of the victim's family and the honorable farewell that their daughter should have received was also not given'. While the Uttar Pradesh administration is arguing that 'whatever happened, it happened at the will of the family'.

The victim's family asked, how to trust the UP Police's SIT

In the Hathras case, the victim's family says that "until they get answers to their questions, how can they trust the SIT set up by the UP Police".

The victim's family has only one question: 'How did the police burn the dead body of their daughter without her will?'

The victim's brother, in a conversation with BBC correspondent Anant Prakash, complained that "DM (Hathras) came to our house after SIT (Special Investigation Team) left the village. He spoke back and forth. He said that your daughter if Corona If you had died, would you have been compensated? We want to know from them what is the meaning of this thing. "

The victim's brother said, "The DM argued to us that your daughter's body was not left in viewable condition. We told her that we were ready to see her at all costs. We were ready to see her even after the postmortem We had asked them till morning. But the police put petrol in the night and set the body on fire at some distance from the house. We do not know whose body they burnt. We would have seen our sister's body It would have been comforting. "

He also alleged that "in the last two days, the people of the local administration have not signed any documents from their father, about which they have not been given any information."

The victim's family is upset that her daughter's body was allegedly burnt by pouring petrol, while according to their customs, there is a trend to bid farewell to the unmarried girl's death by placing mehndi in her hands.

The death of the 19-year-old Dalit girl in Hathras and the incident of her alleged forced funeral has angered the victim's family. Along with this, there is now a lot of politics on this incident.

On Friday, some Trinamool Congress MPs tried to meet the victim's family, but the policemen did not let them move towards the village. Earlier, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi reached Hathras on Thursday and they also tried to meet the family, but the UP Police soldiers shouted at them and did not let them reach the village.

On Friday, BJP leader Uma Bharti appealed to the UP government to allow the opposition leaders and media persons to meet the victim's family, after which, on Saturday morning, the media persons got an entry in the victim's village.

Smriti Irani said, 'Congress wants politics, not justice'

Commenting on the Hathras case, Union Minister Smriti Irani has questioned the intent of the Congress party.

Speaking to the press on Saturday, Irani said that "the public understands that he (Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party) has traveled towards Hathras for politics, not to bring justice to the victim's family."

This is the first comment from Smriti Irani on the Hathras case. On Friday, the question arose as to why Smriti Irani, a Union Minister of Women and vocal on women's issues, did not comment on the Hathras case.

Earlier, it was reported by the Congress party that 'Rahul Gandhi, along with his sister and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will try to visit Hathras once again on Saturday as they want to meet the victim's family and know their side Want to.

Media allowed to meet the victim's family

In the Hathras case, the police have allowed the media to meet the victim's family. For the last two-three days, the Hathras administration was not allowing the media and the opposition to meet the victim's family.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has tweeted on Saturday that no power in the world can stop him from meeting his family.

The Special Investigation Committee constituted in this case had recommended their suspension based on their initial report. Investigators have asked to get a narco test of the people involved in this case i.e. the accused as well as the victim's family.

Police said, no confirmation of rape

After that, the police cremated him in a hurry at midnight.

The family says that the administration and police conducted the last rites of the deceased girl without their permission. He has not even been given the medical report of the deceased.

The family alleges that the girl was gang-raped, while the Uttar Pradesh ADG said that no evidence of semen (semen) was found from the victim's body.
