India U-19 Beat Australia by 103 Runs: Yashbardhan Chauhan Hits 122, Aaryavir Sehwag Scores 47

India Under-19 defeated Australia Under-19 by 103 runs in the second Youth ODI at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on September 21, 2026. The victory gave India an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

India posted 341/7 in 50 overs after opting to bat. Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan was the star of the innings, scoring a superb 122 off 100 balls, including 15 fours and two sixes. VK Vineeth also made a valuable contribution with 87 runs from 92 balls.

Australia were then bowled out for 238 in 41.1 overs, handing India a convincing 103-run victory.

Yashbardhan Chauhan Smashes Century

Yashbardhan Chauhan produced the standout batting performance of the match. The India U-19 batter scored 122 runs from 100 deliveries, striking 15 boundaries and two sixes.

He shared a crucial partnership with VK Vineeth, who scored 87 off 92 balls, including four fours and six sixes. Their contribution helped India recover strongly and build a total of 341/7.

Yashbardhan's performance was not limited to batting. He also claimed two Australian wickets for 56 runs, completing an impressive all-round display.

Aaryavir Sehwag Falls Three Runs Short of Fifty

Virender Sehwag's son Aaryavir Sehwag once again attracted attention with his batting performance.

Opening the innings, Aaryavir scored 47 runs from 48 balls, hitting nine fours before being run out. He missed out on a half-century by just three runs.

Aaryavir had made 28 runs in India's opening Youth ODI against Australia. He made his Under-19 debut in that rain-affected match, while Rahul Dravid's son Anvay Dravid contributed 38 runs from 18 balls.

VK Vineeth Adds 87 Runs

VK Vineeth provided important support to Yashbardhan during India's middle overs.

Vineeth scored 87 from 92 deliveries, with four fours and six sixes. His partnership with Yashbardhan helped India establish a strong platform before the lower order accelerated the scoring rate.

Kushagra Ojha then added a quick 34 off 20 balls, including five fours and a six.

Captain Lakshya Rajesh Raichandani scored 11, while Anvay Dravid made nine. Manal Chauhan scored one, with Yashveer Goud and Chigurupati Venkata remaining unbeaten on two and one respectively.

Australia Bowled Out for 238

Chasing a target of 342, Australia made a difficult start and lost wickets early. However, Jack Czosnek and Matthew Lough briefly revived the innings.

Czosnek top-scored for Australia with 81 off 63 balls, including seven fours and four sixes. Lough scored 42 from 40 deliveries, while Blake Cattle added 44 from 47 balls.

Despite those contributions, Australia lost their final six wickets for just 38 runs and were eventually bowled out for 238 in 41.1 overs.

Chigurupati Venkata Takes Three Wickets

Chigurupati Venkata was India's leading wicket-taker, finishing with 3/64 in eight overs.

Kavya Paresh Patel also impressed with 2/23 in seven overs, while Yashbardhan Chauhan took two wickets. Mohit Ulva claimed one wicket for 19 runs from seven overs, and Manal Chauhan and Yashveer Goud also picked up one wicket each.

India U-19 Take 2-0 Lead

The result means India have won the three-match Youth ODI series with one game still to play.

India had won the opening match by seven wickets after the game was reduced to 20 overs per side because of rain. Aaryavir Sehwag scored 28 in his debut, while Anvay Dravid struck 38 off 18 balls.

The second match saw India produce an even more dominant performance, with Yashbardhan's century and a disciplined bowling display completing a 103-run victory.
