In the last 24 hours, a slight increase in corona cases was recorded in the country. Here on Wednesday, the corona report of 1 lakh 33 thousand 953 people came positive. This figure is about 800 more than Tuesday. However, there is no significant reduction in the figures of deaths due to infection. In the last 24 hours, 2,897 people died.

 

It was a matter of relief that during this time 2 lakh 11 thousand 750 infected people were cured. In this way, there was a decrease of 80,749 in the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment. Amidst the decreasing figures of corona in the country, there are still 5 states where there are more than one lakh active cases. These include Karnataka (2.93 lakh), Tamil Nadu (2.88 lakh), Maharashtra (2.16 lakh), Kerala (1.92 lakh), and Andhra Pradesh (1.43 lakh).


Corona controlled in Maharashtra

The month of June has brought positive changes for Maharashtra, which is most affected by Corona in the country. At the time of the first wave of corona in the state, the number of active cases i.e. the number of patients undergoing treatment was 3.01 lakh. In the second wave, this figure went up to 6.99 lakh. On the first day of June, the number of active patients in the state was only 2.30 lakh. That is, there are 23.55% fewer corona active patients in Maharashtra than at the peak of the corona epidemic.

Restrictions like lockdown in 15 states

There are restrictions like complete lockdown in 15 states of the country. These include Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Goa, Telangana, West Bengal, and Puducherry. Strict restrictions have been imposed here as in the previous lockdown.


Partial lockdown in 17 states/UTs

There is a partial lockdown in 17 states and union territories of the country. That is, there are restrictions here, but there are also exemptions. These include Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat.

1. Maharashtra


On Wednesday, 15,169 people were found infected here. 29,270 people were cured and 553 people died. So far 57.76 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 54.60 lakh people have been cured, while 96,751 people died. 2.16 lakh patients are currently undergoing treatment.


2. Chhattisgarh


On Wednesday, 1,792 people were found corona positive in the state. 3,244 people were cured and 40 died. So far 9.75 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 9.30 lakh people have been cured, while 13,117 people have died. 31,635 patients are undergoing treatment.


3. Gujarat


On Wednesday, 1,333 people were found corona positive in the state. 4,098 people were cured and 18 died. So far 8.12 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 7.75 lakh people have been cured, while 9,873 patients have died. 26,232 people are being treated here.


4. Uttar Pradesh


On Wednesday, 1,283 people were found infected here. 4,939 people were cured and 115 people died. So far 16.93 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 16.44 lakh have been cured, while 20,787 patients have died. 28,694 patients are being treated here.


5. Rajasthan


Here on Wednesday, 1,276 people were found corona infected. 6,038 people were cured and 65 died. So far 9.42 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.01 lakh people have been cured, while 8,515 patients have died. Presently 32,650 patients are undergoing treatment.


6. Madhya Pradesh


On Wednesday, 991 people were found corona positive in the state. 4,113 people were cured and 45 died. So far 7.82 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 7.56 lakh people have been cured, while 8,157 people have died. 17,136 patients are undergoing treatment.


7. Delhi


On Wednesday, 576 people were found corona positive in Delhi. 1,287 people were cured and 103 died. So far 14.27 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 13.93 lakh people have been cured, while 24,402 patients have died. 9,364 are being treated here.
