Strict measures to deal with the increasing cases of corona infection are now increasing in all states. The Sikkim government has announced a 16-hour night curfew from May 6 to May 16 in the state. This curfew will start at 5 in the evening and will remain in force till 9 am. Apart from this, the movement of people and vehicles from one district to another has also been banned. This ban will apply to all private and government vehicles. However, the movement of vehicles engaged in the army, security personnel, and other essential services will not be stopped. Apart from this, vehicles engaged in the supply of essential things will be allowed to move between 5 am and 8:30 am.
The order issued by the Sikkim government said, "The restrictions will remain in force in the state from May 6 to 16. The movement of all private and government vehicles will be prohibited. All vehicles will be stopped at Rangpo, Melli, Reshi, Raman, Hathichire, NTPC check posts. Only vehicles engaged in the army, security personnel, and other essential services will be allowed to travel. The northeastern states, which were not affected much in the first wave of Corona, are witnessing terrible havoc this time. Due to this, restrictions have been imposed from Delhi to Manipur. Now the Sikkim government has also decided to curb the corona infection.
Meanwhile, in Bengal also, CM Mamata Banerjee has increased the toughness to deal with Corona as soon as she takes oath for the third time. Announcing the restrictions, Mamta Banerjee said, "We have to take some steps because of the situation of Covid-19. Wearing a mask is mandatory, so only 50 percent of the employees will be present in the state government offices. The private sector has been asked to provide work from home, while only 50 percent of the employees can live in the office. The shopping complex, gym, cinema halls, beauty parlor will remain closed. Social and political mobilization will also be banned.
