Kharge won by the biggest margin after Sonia
Mallikarjun Kharge defeated Shashi Tharoor by a margin of 6825 votes in the Congress Presidential election results. Kharge got 7897 votes, while Tharoor could get only 1072 votes. With the victory in this election, Kharge has become the 65th leader to become the Congress President. He is the second Dalit leader after Babu Jagjivan Ram to become the Congress President.
