For the record, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has removed MP Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader. The party sent a letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat in this regard. Consequently, Ashok Mittal will now serve as the Deputy Leader representing the Aam Aadmi Party in the Rajya Sabha.

The Aam Aadmi Party has informed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat that time should not be allocated to MP Raghav Chadha to speak in Parliament. Furthermore, the Aam Aadmi Party has submitted a letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat requesting the appointment of MP Ashok Mittal as the party's Deputy Leader.

Mobile Consumers Should Be Granted Data Rollover Facility: Raghav Chadha

Recently, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha raised questions in the Rajya Sabha regarding the manner in which telecom companies handle data usage. He argued that data that consumers are unable to utilize should not be forfeited; instead, it should be carried over to the following day. Currently, the daily data allowance expires after midnight (12:00 AM), despite consumers having already paid for it. Therefore, the benefit derived from this should accrue to the customers, not the telecom companies.

Chadha proposed that, based on the amount of unused data, a discount should be offered on the following month's recharge, and customers should be provided with a data rollover facility. He further asserted that consumers should also be granted the right to transfer their unused data to others. Citing examples from the United States, Europe, the Netherlands, and Australia, the AAP MP noted that such facilities are already in place in those regions.
