The country received 28,869 Corona positives on Tuesday. 17,746 recovered and 187 died. In this way, the number of active cases, ie patients undergoing treatment, increased by 10,935. The new infected figures have gone back nearly three months. More than 30,354 cases came on 12 December. On Tuesday, Maharashtra had the highest number of 17,864 patients among the new infected.

 

So far, a total of 1 crore 14 lakh 38 thousand 464 people have been caught in the epidemic. Out of these, 1 crore 10 lakh 43 thousand 337 have been cured. 1 lakh 59 thousand 79 have lost their lives, while 2 lakh 31 thousand 335 are under treatment. Corona updates

 

In 24 hours, 71.10% of 28,903 new corona cases have been reported in Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu.

 

The total number of active cases in India is 2.34 lakhs. Maharashtra, Kerala, and Punjab alone account for 76.4% of active cases. Of these, 60% of corona cases are in Maharashtra alone.

 

There have been no deaths from corona in the last 24 hours in 15 states and union territories of the country. These include Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Daman Diu, Nagaland, Tripura, Ladakh, Manipur, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Iceland, and Arunachal Pradesh.

 

Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Dilip Gandhi died on Wednesday. Gandhi was corona positive on Tuesday and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi. Gandhi, a resident of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, was a shipping minister in the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 2003 to 2004.

 

It has been decided to impose a night curfew in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal and Indore from Wednesday. Markets will remain closed after 10 pm in Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Ratlam, Chhindwara, Burhanpur, Betul, Khargone. There will be no curfew-like situation in these cities, but traders will have to essentially close the market.

 

Night curfew has been extended till 31 March in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot in Gujarat. Although there was already a night curfew in these cities of Gujarat, its time was from noon to 6 a.m.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak with the Chief Ministers on Wednesday on the corona-made conditions and vaccination in the states. This meeting will take place through video conferencing. Meanwhile, after increasing infection in some states, the Center has intensified the vaccination exercise.

 

State of 6 states

 

1. Maharashtra

 

On Tuesday, 17,864 people were found corona infected and 9,510 patients recovered and 87 died. So far, 23.47 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 21.54 lakh patients have been cured, while 52,996 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 1.38 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.

 

2. Kerala

 

On Tuesday, 1,970 people were found corona infected and 2,884 patients recovered and 15 died. So far, 10.94 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 10.63 lakh have been cured, while 4,423 infected have lost their lives. 26,124 patients are undergoing treatment.

 

3. Madhya Pradesh

 

On Tuesday, 817 people were found corona infected and 554 patients recovered and 1 died. So far, 2.70 lakh people have been infected by the infection in the state. Of these, 2.61 lakh have been cured, while 3,891 patients died. 5,286 are undergoing treatment.

 

4. Gujarat

 

On Tuesday, 954 people were found corona infected and 703 patients recovered and 2 died. So far 2.80 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 2.70 lakh have been cured, while 4,427 patients died. 4,966 are undergoing treatment.

 

5. Rajasthan

 

On Tuesday, 241 people were found corona infected, 151 patients recovered and one died. So far, 3.23 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 3.18 lakh have been cured, while 2,791 patients died. 2,661 are undergoing treatment.

 

6. Delhi

 

On Tuesday, 425 people were found corona infected and 257 patients recovered and 1 died. So far, 6.44 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 6.31 lakh have been cured, while 10,945 patients have died. 2,488 are undergoing treatment.
