The specialty of these aircraft is that they will be able to counter the threat of any missile attack. It is being told that the first aircraft of the pair of Boeing-777 aircraft will reach India from the US by the end of August, the second aircraft will arrive here a month later.
These aircraft will be equipped with 'Self Protection Suits' (SPS), which include infrared and electronic warfare technology. In addition, the aircraft will have a missile warning system, capable of firing missiles. At the same time, aircraft will also be equipped with technology capable of circumventing the enemy's radar system. Officials said that these aircraft will have security measures in the 'Airforce One' of the President of America.
Air India had sent a pair of new Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft for VVIP travel to the US-based Boeing Facility Center in Dallas, where they would be fitted with a missile defense system.
