
Lucknow, Feb 10 (IANS) Soon after the victory of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Delhi assembly elections became clear, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Tuesday Akhilesh Yadav congratulated the party.
Taking to the social networking site Facebook, Yadav posted a message: "Congratulations to AAP, good wishes for the new AAP government."
Earlier in the run up to the polls, Samajwadi Party (SP) general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav had also extended his support to the AAP in the Delhi assembly elections.
The party did not contest the elections.
The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) contested all the 70 seats, but trends indicated that it is leading in none of the seats.
