So has monkeypox knocked in India too? This question is arising because recently the Health Department of Ghaziabad has sent a sample of a five-year-old girl for investigation based on suspicion. According to the information received from media reports, the girl has a hearing problem, for which she came to Ghaziabad Hospital from Bihar. The examining doctor said that the minor had severe rash and itching on the skin. Some symptoms are also similar to monkeypox, based on which the sample has been sent for examination.

A large size rash appears on the face and hands and feet of the patient. The incubation period of infection (from infection to onset of symptoms) is 6 to 13 days.
