According to a recent survey by think tank New America, the number of Americans who consider college and university to be a positive impact on the nation has decreased by 14% since 2020.

For example- There is a consensus among Americans that post-secondary education provides a good return on investment for students. But there has been a sharp decline in the perception of the impact of higher education on the country. Report co-author Sophie Nguyen said the decline in higher education was due to economic challenges. This survey was done at a time when gas prices had increased and more people were beginning to feel that an economic slowdown was coming.
