Currently, if there's one Bollywood actor who's making the most headlines, it's Akshaye Khanna. He was already in the spotlight due to the immense success of his film Dhurandhar, and then he made headlines again for suddenly dropping out of Ajay Devgn's upcoming film Drishyam 3. This sparked considerable controversy.

Amidst all this, Akshaye Khanna has now started shooting for his next film. So, let's find out which movie he'll be seen in next.

Akshaye Starts Shooting for This Movie

Akshaye Khanna won everyone's hearts with his powerful performance as Rahman Dacoit in the film Dhurandhar. Or you could say that Dhurandhar marked his grand comeback to the film industry. In the coming days, Akshaye will be seen in several movies, and he has already started shooting for one of them.

Akshaye Khanna's next film is titled Mahakali, and with this movie, he will be making his debut in South Indian cinema. The shooting of Mahakali has begun at Studio in Mumbai, and glimpses of it have been shared by the film's writer, Pooja Kolluru, on her official Instagram handle. In Pooja's photos, actor Akshaye Khanna is also seen on the sets of Mahakali.

This is enough to indicate that after Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna's next focus is on Mahakali. In this movie, Akshaye will be seen in the role of Asura Guru Shukracharya. His first look from the film was released by the makers last year, in which he looked quite impressive.

The Controversy Surrounding Akshaye and Drishyam 3

Akshaye Khanna was also in the news for dropping out of Drishyam 3. The makers of Drishyam revealed that Akshaye had signed the contract for the film last November and then suddenly withdrew from the project just one day before the release of Drishyam.
