Before 2018, the CPI-M had a government for 25 years, but the CPI-M's vote share in that year's assembly elections was less than 45%. The Left won 18 seats.
Amit Shah will visit 11 states in January

Shah will visit Tripura, Nagaland, and Manipur on January 5 and 6. Will go to Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand on 7th January. He will then head south to visit Andhra Pradesh on January 8.
