Apple WWDC 2022: Apple launches new MacBook Air with M2 processor, know the features

Apple WWDC 2022: Apple has introduced iOS 16 for its iPhone customers, making several major changes during the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event. Along with this, Apple has also launched its new MacBook at this event, in which an M2 processor is being given.

 

According to Apple, their 5nm designed M2 processor is the next generation of Apple's silicon with 25 billion transistors. It is being told that the M2 processor is a 10-core GPU and resides on an 8-core CPU. This processor can handle 24GB of unified memory.

 

The M2 chipset is more powerful than the M1

 

According to Apple, the M2 is more powerful than the PC chips and the old M1. It was told during the event that this M2 chipset is a Dedicated Neural Engine that can support an 8K video. Currently, Apple's MacBook Air is being made available in Starlight, Midnight, Silver, and Space Gray color options. In which two Thunderbolt ports are being given. At the same time, Apple Mac Book Air can be charged with MagSafe.

 

Liquid Retina Display will be available in MacBook Air

 

Apple has given a liquid retina display in this MacBook Air, along with which three mics are also being given. The screen size of the MacBook Air is given 13.6-inch. There is a 1080p front camera for video calls. At the same time, according to the company, the battery backup of this MacBook Air is coming with up to 18 hours of video playback. Which can be charged with a 67-watt adapter.

 

At present, Apple has also launched MacBook Pro along with this M2 processor. Whose battery backup has been made much better. Let us know that the price of the Apple MacBook Air with Apple's M2 processor is starting from US $ 1099, while the starting price of the MacBook Pro comes with an M2 chipset has been kept at the US $ 1299.

 

Apple MacBook price in India

 

Apple says the new MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro will be available at select Apple Authorized Retailers next month. However, no fixed date has been given. Apple's MacBook Air with M2 chipset starts at Rs 1,19,900 and for education at Rs 1,09,900. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 starts at Rs 1,29,900 and for education at Rs 1,19,900. The 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter will be available for Rs 5,800.
