The five-day biennial conference of the top Army commanders is ending on Friday. In particular, measures to deal with hybrid warfare and information warfare were also discussed. The conference also focused on electric vehicles in the army.
Defense Minister addressed the conference
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the biennial conference of Army Commanders on Thursday. He said that Indian soldiers are resolutely fighting the adverse weather and enemies to protect the territorial integrity of the country. Because of the Russo-Ukraine war, the Defense Minister asked the top army commanders to be prepared to face any challenges, including unconventional warfare, in the future. In the process of setting up the theater command, he said that it is the need of the hour. He is happy that progress is being made in this direction. He also expressed full confidence in the top leadership of the army.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also referred to the peaceful resolution of the dispute in eastern Ladakh and said that talks will continue with China for this. He said the withdrawal of troops from the points of conflict and reduction in tension was the only way forward. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted from his official Twitter handle and said, 'Addressed the Army Commanders' Conference today. Calls upon the military leadership to be prepared for all possible challenges in the future, including the challenge of unconventional and anomalous warfare.
The conference is held twice a year
This is the last conference of the Army Commander to be chaired by General Naravane. General Naravane's term ends at the end of this month. This conference of Army Commanders started in New Delhi on Monday, 18 April. Held for five days, this conference is the official forum for the senior leadership of the Indian Army. This conference is organized twice every year. It is organized once in April and the second time in October.
