India entered the semi-finals of the Asian Games by winning with a high ranking. Rain had knocked at the beginning of the match, due to which it was decided to play the match for 15 overs. Batting first, the Indian women's cricket team scored 173 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in 15 overs.

 

In response, only two balls were bowled in Malaysia's innings and after that, the rain started again. After a long wait, the umpires decided to cancel the match.

Smriti Mandhana was out on 27 runs. After this, Shefali Verma created havoc with the bat and thrashed the Malaysian bowlers. Shefali Verma hit many big shots on the field and became the first Indian cricketer to score a half-century in the Asian Games. At the age of 19, Shefali Verma created history. He has completed 50 sixes in T-20 International at a very young age.

 

In the match, a total of 67 runs were scored from Shafali Verma's bat, in which her strike rate was 171. During this period, Shefali Verma's innings included a total of 5 sixes and 4 fours.
