According to reports, BCCI consulted an expert doctor in England and he also had the same opinion. In such a situation, he can be rested for one match. Actually, during the match against Bangladesh, Hardik tried to stop Liton Das's shot with his right foot. During this, he lost his balance and landed wrongly on his left foot. After this, while getting up from the field, he looked in a lot of pain and was limping. Soon the physio was called to the field. During this time, two senior players Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma were also with him. After the arrival of the physio, the match stopped for about five minutes. The physio applied a bandage on Hardik's left leg and also applied a painkiller spray, but it did not provide relief. Hardik got up and tried to bowl again, but he could not. In such a situation, without any delay and without taking any risk, Rohit sent Hardik out of the field with the physio. By then Hardik had bowled three balls of his first over. Virat Kohli bowled the remaining three balls. He bowled in ODIs after six years.

If Hardik doesn't play, India can go with this combination
If Hardik Pandya does not play against New Zealand, Shardul can be rested and fast bowler Mohammed Shami can be played, because the pitch of Dharamshala is helpful for fast bowlers. At the same time, a specialist batsman i.e. Suryakumar Yadav may get a chance in place of Hardik.
