
Political turmoil has intensified in the case of an attack on Maharashtra BJP leader Kirit Somaiya. A delegation of BJP leaders from Maharashtra reached Delhi on Monday. BJP leaders will meet the Union Home Secretary in this regard.
The BJP delegation includes MLAs Mihir Kotecha, Amit Satam, Parag Shah, Rahul Narvekar, Vinod Mishra, and Kirit Somaiya himself. BJP leaders will meet Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla at North Block in Delhi.
On reaching Delhi, Kirit Somaiya accused the Maharashtra government of misusing the police. Somaiya said, 'Uddhav Ji is doing the work of creating terror in Maharashtra, using the police mafia, which also includes Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey. They filed a fake FIR against me. Today we have come to meet the Union Home Secretary and will talk to him about sending a special team.
The alleged attack on Shiv Sainiks
Kirit Somaiya has accused Shiv Sainiks of attack. Kirit Somaiya had gone to Khar police station to meet Amaravati MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana after the arrest on Saturday night. While leaving the police station there, a large number of Shiv Sainiks gathered outside attacked him. Somaiya has alleged stone-pelting.
After leaving Khar police station, Kirit Somaiya tweeted that Shiv Sena goons pelted heavy stones at Khar police station. The glass of his car was broken in stone-pelting and he was injured. He told that he had gone to meet Amravati MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana.
BJP leaders attacked
After the attack on Kirit Somaiya, BJP leaders launched an all-out attack on the state government. Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis these days the police are behaving like a worker of a political party. Fadnavis said I am warning the Maharashtra government, that you cannot scare us. We are respecting the law. It doesn't mean that you have been attacking us. We can answer as we like.
