Sydney, Feb 19 (IANS) Veteran Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin Thursday confirmed that he is nearing the end of his One-Day International (ODIs) career saying, "looks like I haven’t got many one-day games in front of me".
Haddin, 37, has not been at his best of form in the last few innings and believes his days in ODIs are numbered.
“I haven’t really thought about when I’m going to pull the pin but it obviously looks like I haven’t got many one-day games in front of me,” Haddin was quoted as saying by the Cricket Australia (CA) website.
Haddin was a part of the Australian World Cup team in 2007 and 2011. Enjoying his third stint at the world event he said it would be fitting to retire after playing the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) March 29.
"From my point of view, I’m just enjoying this whole campaign of a World Cup. It would be good to be around in a month's time at the MCG for the finale but I’m just enjoying this tournament,” he said.
“Obviously it would be a great way to sign off from one-day cricket but I haven’t really thought about when I’m going to pull the pin - but it’s getting close, definitely from one-dayers.”
