PM Modi will show the new 'Vande Bharat Express' from Gandhinagar today, these are the features of the train

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. PM Modi will flag off the new and upgraded version of Vande Bharat Express from Gandhinagar on Friday. The new Vande Bharat Express will usher in a new era of comfortable and immersive rail travel experience. The new Vande Bharat Express is the most awaited newly built semi-high speed train. Now it is ready to run in the commercial run. This train will run between Gandhinagar and Mumbai connecting the state capitals of Gujarat and Maharashtra.

 

Speed ​​of 160 kmph

 

Talking about the features of this train, Sumit Thakur, CPRO, Western Railway Zone said that Vande Bharat Express offers many better facilities, which will provide passengers with an enhanced travel experience and aircraft with advanced state-of-the-art safety features. Thakur said that the train has an operating speed of 160 kmph.

 

He said that each coach has a 32-inch screen. It will provide information to the passengers sitting in it. Disabled-friendly toilets and seat handles have also been made available in Braille letters.

 

Special attention was paid to safety standards

 

The Vande Bharat Express also includes several upgraded safety measures. Talking about these features, KK Thakur, Loco Pilot of Vande Bharat Express said that in this train four platform side cameras have been provided on the outside of the coach, including rearview cameras. In case of any emergency, the Loco Pilot and Train Guard can easily communicate with each other as well as with the passengers.

 

Travel made even more comfortable

 

The new Vande Bharat trains will have improved features including reclining seats, automatic fire sensors, CCTV cameras, on-demand content with WiFi facility, three-hour battery backup, and GPS to make travel safer and more comfortable.

 

The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has set a target of manufacturing 75 Vande Bharat trains by August 2023.
