Increase in the number of air passengers

Significantly, the effect of reduction in cases of corona infection and increase in the number of flights has started showing. If we look at the data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday, domestic air passenger traffic has increased to 24.8 million in January-March, which is 6.1 percent more than the same month last year. According to the data, 106.96 lakh people traveled by domestic flight in March, which is 36.7 percent more than the 78.22 lakh in February 2022 in the previous month.

Daily air traffic close to Corona-East level

In the data released by DGCA, if we look at the data of Daily Air Tropic, the number of air passengers has increased since the government removed the restrictions implemented to prevent the outbreak of Covid-19, although it is still there. Has also not reached the pre-corona level, but is only slightly behind. On April 17, the daily domestic air traffic increased to 4.1 lakh, which was the highest in the last two years.
