Under the guidance of both the leaders, our bilateral relations are progressing strongly.” During the meeting, Prime Minister Hasina said that the two countries will have to further enhance connectivity.

Northeast states will benefit from the Chittagong port

At that time Bangladesh was part of Pakistan and was known as East Pakistan.

Discussion on many bilateral and international issues

Karim said several bilateral and international issues were discussed during Prime Minister Hasina's more than half-hour-long meeting with Jaishankar.
