Bharat Bandh Today: Traffic affected across the country due to Bharat Bandh, farmers block railway track-highway; many trains canceled

Farmers closed India on Monday. Its effect is also starting to come to the fore. Traffic has been affected in many states including Delhi, UP, and Punjab due to farmers' Bharat Bandh. Farmers blocked railway tracks at many places. The highway was also blocked. There have also been reports of traffic jams at many places in Punjab, Haryana, UP, Bihar. There is a heavy traffic jam. Apart from this, many trains have been canceled by the Railways. Due to this people are facing difficulties in commuting.

Farmers on railway track in Punjab

 

Farmers sitting on the railway track have parked their tractors in the middle of the railway crossing near Pathankot Railway Cantt station on the Delhi-Jammu rail route. The Jammu-Jalandhar bypass and the National Highway have also been blocked by erecting huge trolleys at Damtal on the Punjab-Himachal border. Farmers have blocked the Punjab-Jammu-Kashmir National Highway-44, half a kilometer before the Interstate block in Madhopur. On behalf of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan, dharnas are being organized on 16 roads and railway tracks of Sangrur. Patiala Bathinda's main road has been blocked.

 

Railways canceled more than 18 trains

 

More than 18 trains have been canceled by the Railways due to the farmers' bandh in India. Trains from Firozpur to Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Bhatinda, and Amritsar to Pathankot-Jalandhar have been canceled. Apart from this, all trains going from Amritsar to Fazilka have been canceled.

 

More than 25 trains affected

 

Giving information, Northern Railway has said that rail operations are affected in Delhi, Ambala, and Ferozepur divisions as farmers are sitting on railway tracks. There is a jam at more than 20 places in the Delhi division. Around 25 trains have been affected in Ambala and Ferozepur divisions.

 

Traffic disrupted in Delhi, UP, and Punjab

 

Traffic has been affected in Delhi, UP, and Punjab due to farmers' Bharat Bandh. The effect of Bharat Bandh organized by United Kisan Morcha across the country against the three agricultural laws of the Center is visible. Due to the announcement of 'Bharat Bandh' by United Kisan Morcha today, there is a long jam of DND vehicles in Noida. There is also a long queue of vehicles for several kilometers on the Gurugram highway. Apart from this, farmers completely blocked NH-9 and NH-24 on the Ghazipur border. Traffic service on Delhi-Amritsar National Highway has come to a standstill. Due to the Bharat Bandh being called by the farmers, there was a long queue of vehicles on the Gurugram-Delhi border early in the morning.
