
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Digital Health Mission through video conferencing on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that this facility will bring a revolutionary change in the field of health. He said that the campaign which is going on to strengthen the health facilities of the country in the last seven years is entering a new phase from today. A mission is beginning today, which has the power to revolutionize healthcare in India.
He said I am happy that from today Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is also being started across the country. This mission will play a huge role in removing the problems faced in the treatment of the poor and middle class of the country.
Every citizen's health record will be digitally protected
With this facility, the health record of all citizens will be safe. PM said, Ayushman Bharat - Digital Mission, will now connect digital health solutions of hospitals across the country with each other. Under this, the countrymen will now get a digital health ID. The health record of every citizen will be digitally protected.
People connecting with doctors sitting at home through e-Sanjeevani
The PM said, 'Telemedicine has also expanded unprecedentedly during the Corona period. So far about 125 crores, remote consultations have been completed through e-Sanjeevani. This facility is connecting thousands of countrymen living in far-flung areas of the country every day with the doctors of big hospitals of cities while sitting at home.
The Prime Minister said that with 130 crore Aadhaar numbers, 118 crore mobile subscribers, about 80 crore internet users, about 43 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts, there is no such huge connected infrastructure anywhere in the world. This digital infrastructure is making the transition from ration to administration to the common Indian in a fast, transparent manner.
Apart from PM Modi, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was also present in the launch program of Digital Health Mission. On this occasion, Mandaviya said, on 15 August 2020, the PM had announced the mission (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) from the ramparts of the Red Fort. I am glad that he is launching it today. I am sure this will revolutionize the health sector.
Under the Prime Minister's Digital Health Mission (PM-DHM), all citizens will be provided with a unique digital health ID, in which all information related to their health will be recorded.
