Congress MP Rahul Gandhi along with party leaders and workers began his 'Bharat Jodi Yatra' on his 12th day at Punnapara Arvaukad in Alappuzha. During the padayatra, Rahul was seen greeting people. At the same time, before starting the padayatra, Rahul held discussions with the fishermen's community at Vadakal beach at 6 am. During this, Rahul Gandhi discussed the challenges of rising fuel costs, low subsidies, dwindling fish stocks, and environmental destruction among other issues.

With many senior leaders Rahul

The yatra started from Punnapara on Monday and was accompanied by senior Congress leaders K Muraleedharan, Kodikkunil Suresh, Ramesh Chennithala, KC Venugopal, and Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan Gandhi. The morning of the journey will end at Kalavoor after covering a distance of about 16 kms. It will resume at 4.30 pm and will travel about nine kilometers before stopping at Mythara near Cherthala.

During this journey, Rahul will pass through 12 states.

During this journey, Rahul is going to cover a distance of 3,570 km through 12 states. This journey will last for five months. Congress says that Rahul Gandhi is doing this rally as a fight against economic disparities, social polarization, problems of political centralization, and ideologies.

Rahul Gandhi sleeping in a container

Rahul Gandhi is sleeping in a container during the night. Sleeping beds, toilets, and air-conditioners have also been installed in some of the containers. There will be differences in temperature and atmosphere in many areas during the journey. With the change of location, arrangements have been made because of the scorching heat and humidity. About 60 such containers have been prepared where a village has been established. The container will be raised daily at a new place in the shape of a village for the night's rest. Full-time travelers staying with Rahul Gandhi will have a meal together. Sources further said that Rahul Gandhi considers the Bharat Jodo Yatra as a way to connect with the common people. So he wants to complete this entire journey simply away from the glitz and glamour. Rahul Gandhi calls it a yatra but political analysts consider it a preparation for 2024.
