REDMAGIC has launched its latest gaming smartphone, the REDMAGIC 12 Pro, in global markets. The new device arrives after the company introduced the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ in China last month. The global model retains several key features of its Chinese counterpart, including a powerful Snapdragon processor, a high-refresh-rate display and a large battery.
However, there are differences between the two versions, particularly in charging speeds and pricing. The global REDMAGIC 12 Pro supports 80W wired charging, compared with 120W wired charging on the Chinese model.
REDMAGIC 12 Pro Price and Variants
The REDMAGIC 12 Pro is available in three memory and storage configurations. In North America, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at $949 (approximately ₹90,000).
The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs $1,049 (approximately ₹99,600), while the top-end variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at $1,199 (approximately ₹1.14 lakh).
Prices vary across regions. The starting price in some other global markets is $899, so these US prices should not be treated as confirmed Indian retail prices.
REDMAGIC 12 Pro Display and Processor
The REDMAGIC 12 Pro features a 6.85-inch 1.5K BOE X11 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. The screen has a full-screen design with an under-display front camera, eliminating the conventional camera cutout.
The display supports an instant touch sampling rate of up to 5,000Hz. REDMAGIC lists a global peak brightness of 1,900 nits and a local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
For performance, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. It also includes the REDMAGIC R5 gaming chip and G1 display control chip. The device offers up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
The phone runs REDMAGIC OS 12 based on Android 17. Other features include PC game emulation, Steam support and Gemini integration.
REDMAGIC 12 Pro Camera Specifications
For photography, the smartphone features a 50MP primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
On the front, it has a 16MP under-display selfie camera. This placement helps maintain the phone's uninterrupted full-screen design, which is particularly useful for gaming and video viewing.
Cooling System and Gaming Features
The REDMAGIC 12 Pro features the AquaCore Cooling System 3.0, designed to manage heat during demanding gaming sessions. The system combines dual-loop liquid cooling, a vapour chamber, Liquid Metal 4.0 technology and a turbo fan that operates at up to 25,500 RPM.
The device also includes gaming-focused features such as shoulder triggers and dedicated gaming hardware. REDMAGIC has additionally highlighted its Steam support and PC game-related features.
REDMAGIC 12 Pro Battery and Charging
One of the major highlights of the REDMAGIC 12 Pro is its 8,400mAh battery. This is around 12% larger than the 7,500mAh battery in the REDMAGIC 11 Pro, according to the stated capacities.
The global model supports up to 80W wired fast charging and up to 80W wireless charging. The Chinese counterpart supports faster 120W wired charging, making charging speed one of the key differences between the two versions.
REDMAGIC 12 Pro Availability
REDMAGIC has announced the smartphone for global markets, with India included in its listed Asia-Pacific markets. The company's announced schedule places early-bird access ahead of the general global sale, which is scheduled to begin on November 18, 2026.
Indian pricing and local sale details should be checked through the official regional store before purchase
