The Union Health Ministry said that while booking for vaccination, people will get a four-digit security code on the cowin.gov.in website. This feature has been added after people complained that they were yet to get a single dose, but the message has come to them that a dose has been put. These people had only got their registration done on Co-Win. The ministry said that this will ensure that the vaccine status of anyone who has taken an appointment for online vaccination should be filled correctly. It is only for those taking an online appointment. ''

This security code, known as the Vaccinator, will also be printed on the slip. At the same time, a four-digit security code will also be asked before the vaccine is placed. The Ministry has advised that whenever a person goes for vaccination, he should also take a digitized or printed copy of the appointment letter with him so that the security code should not be difficult to find.
