Big negligence of Haryana Education Department: 260 crores of scholarship and uniform stuck, 17 lakh students upset, 9 months passed since studies started

Rs 260 crore has been stuck in Haryana due to the non-updation of data on the MIS portal of the Education Department. Due to the non-release of money, the scholarship allowance of 17 lakh children of classes one to eight of the state has been stopped. Along with this, even the uniform grant has not been received. Whereas it has been more than nine months since the academic session started.

 

Get Rs 1,000 for uniform

There is a provision to give Rs.800 to all students in the name of a uniform grant and Rs.1000 from classes 6 to 8 in the name of a uniform grant. Rs.150 per month for scheduled caste students from classes 1 to 5 and Rs.225 per month for girl students. Allowance is given. Rs 200 for boys from classes 6 to 8 and Rs 300 for girls students are given every month.

 

Funds are available four times a year

There is a provision to give this amount per month every quarter i.e. four times in a year. Boys and girls of BCA and BPL classes from classes one to five get Rs 75 and girls get Rs 150 per month. Rs 100 per class 6 to 8 and Rs 200 per girl child is given.

 

Rs 1250 for stationery

The government also gives funds once a year to the scheduled caste boys and girls studying in classes 1 to 8 to buy stationery. Rs 740 for first-class students, Rs 750 for second class, and Rs 960 for third class. There is a provision to give Rs 970 in the fourth, Rs 980 in the fifth, and Rs 1250 from class VI to VIII in one year.

A complete record of every student studying in schools of the state including date of birth, category, occupation of parents, address, educational qualification, income, bank account, etc. The IT cell of the department is fully responsible for updating the correct data on this portal.

According to the rules, all kinds of amounts are to be paid under PFMS, under which the amount is deposited in the bank account linked to the beneficiary's Aadhaar number. This time, the Aadhaar numbers of the children enrolled with the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) have not yet been uploaded and updated on the school portal.

 

Officials giving wrong figures to the government

District General Secretary of Government Teachers Association Haryana, Sunil Bas said that even after knowing the problem, instead of doing the work of the responsible people properly and on time, the officials are giving wrong figures to the minister and the government and presenting false picture. Due to this the children and parents studying in these schools have to bear the brunt.
