When Prime Video announced its upcoming slate of shows last month, Panchayat Season 5 was included in the lineup. The fifth season of Panchayat is set to be released this year, in 2026. However, viewers are still eagerly awaiting a confirmed release date for the series. Nevertheless, one thing is certain: the series will be available for audiences to watch sometime this year.

The storyline is set to advance even further in the fifth season. The creators have already hinted that this season will provide answers to the unresolved questions left hanging at the end of the fourth season. Additionally, it is quite possible that the narrative will feature several new twists and turns this time around.

According to reports, Secretary Abhishek Tripathi will face a challenging phase in Phulera during this season. Even as he attempts to focus on his MBA aspirations and future career plans, the village’s lingering conflicts, local politics, and emotional ties continue to pull him back in.

Return of the Original Cast

The core cast for the fifth season will remain the same as the ensemble seen in the previous four seasons. Jitendra Kumar will once again reprise his role as Abhishek Tripathi. In the new season, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Sanvika, Faisal Malik, and Chandan Roy will also return to portray their beloved characters. The series’ story has been penned by Chandan Kumar, while the direction is handled by Deepak Kumar Mishra. Like the previous four seasons, the fifth season will also be available for streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
