New Delhi, March 28 (IANS) The BJP is likely to emerge as the single largest party in Maharashtra and Bihar in the Lok Sabha election, while the Trinamool Congress will get maximum seats in West Bengal, a survey said Friday.

The ABP News Nielsen survey said the Bharatiya Janata Party was likely to get 33 percent votes and 19 seats in Bihar and two seats were likely to go to its allies.

The opinion poll said the ruling Janata Dal-United in Bihar was likely to face the heat of the break-up with the BJP and "could shrink to six seats in 2014 compared to 20 seats in 2009".

The BJP had got a vote share of almost 14 percent and 11 seats in Bihar in 2009.

The poll said the Rashtriya Janata Party of Lalu Prasad was likely to gain from the loss suffered by the JD-U and get 10 seats with a vote share of 17 percent.

The survey said the Congress was likely to get two of the 40 seats in Bihar while the Lok Janshakti Party of Ram Vilas Paswan was poised to win two seats.

"The BJP-LJP are likely to emerge as the largest alliance with 21 seats, the Congress-RJD are likely to get 12 seats," the survey said.

The opinion poll said that in Maharashtra, the BJP was likely to get a vote share of 24 percent and 19 seats.

"It will be a major gain for the party as compared to nine seats in 2009 Lok Sabha polls. The Congress is likely to shrink to eight seats compared to 17 seats," it said.

The Nationalist Congress Party was likely to get five seats in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena 12 seats and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) one seat.

The Aam Aadmi Party was unlikely to win a seat in the state, it said.

The National Democratic Alliance was likely to get 31 seats in Maharashtra while the Congress-NCP alliance would get 13 of the 48 seats in the state.

In West Bengal, it said the ruling Trinamool was likely to emerge as largest party with 28 seats and 41 percent vote share.

"It is a major gain for the party which won 19 seats in 2009 in West Bengal," it said.

As per the opinion poll, Left parties were likely to get 10 seats and 31 percent votes.

The Congress was predicted to win three seats compared to six in 2009. The BJP was poised to win one of the 42 seats in the state.

The Communist Party of India-Marxist was predicted to get six seats and the Communist Party of India two seats.

The opinion poll was conducted in three states and 129 constituencies with 29,453 respondents.
