After getting a setback from Nitish in Bihar, the BJP has started preparing for Mission 2024. In the core committee meeting in Delhi, the party has set a target of winning 35 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. For this, BJP will try to include small parties in the NDA alliance like in 2014.
The alliance between the BJP and Nitish Kumar's party JDU broke down in Bihar on August 9, after which a meeting was held in Delhi on Tuesday to chalk out a new strategy. Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda were present in the meeting along with all the big leaders of Bihar BJP.
What is BJP's plan to beat Nitish politically?
In Bihar, BJP will run the 'Pol Khol Nitish Kumar' campaign. Shah and Nadda will also hold a rally. In this, the issue of increasing crime will be raised vigorously.
The BJP will work to reunite the broken LJP. Uncle Pashupati Paras and nephew Chirag Paswan will be brought under one roof again.
The BJP is preparing to bring a new face to the organization and the house so that a direct fight should be fought with Nitish Kumar. The party will focus on the uppercast.
BJP's eyes on RCP Singh and upper cast
The BJP is also eyeing Nitish's ally, former Union minister RCP Singh. According to the discussion in the political corridors, Singh can contest elections from Nalanda, Nitish's home constituency in 2024. Recently he resigned from JDU. Here, the BJP is also preparing to raise the issue of the under-representation of the upper caste in the Bihar cabinet.
Why the special focus on Bihar?
Bihar has a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats. Also, due to the connectivity of UP, Jharkhand, and Bengal borders, 10 more seats are affected by the voters here. Therefore, there is a special focus of political parties regarding Bihar.
Now know what is Nitish's counter plan.
Nitish Kumar and his party, along with the JDU Mahagathbandhan, have prepared a plan to win 40 seats for 2024. For this, there are 40 seats in Bihar, 14 in Jharkhand, and 10 in Bengal. JDU currently has 16 seats. Nitish's effort is to make the Grand Alliance firmly contested in all the seats in Bihar where the BJP has won the elections by a small margin.
Recently, when Nitish parted ways from the BJP, he had talks with the leaders of the Grand Alliance. During this, he had said that all the parties will work together on one seat in Bihar and will not allow BJP to succeed on a single seat in 2024.
