
The Traffic Police has issued a notification today making helmets mandatory for those who sit on the back seat of motorcycles and scooters. And also warned of action for violating this rule. This new rule has been issued in Mumbai. An official said that this rule will come into effect after 15 days, after which the traffic police will start taking action against those who do not follow the rule.
According to the notification, the traffic police have found that most of the people sitting in the back seat of motorcycles, and scooters do not wear helmets and violate traffic rules. The official said that at present, traffic police fine Rs 500 or cancel their license for three months on motorcyclists without helmets. Now after 15 days, those sitting in the back seat without a helmet will also face the same fine.
Apart from this, according to the new Motor Vehicle Act, you may have to face a heavy fine of Rs 20000 for overloading the vehicle. Apart from this, an additional fine of Rs 2000 per tonne will also have to be paid for doing so. This has happened in the past also when cases of deducting challans of several thousand have come to the fore.

Go to https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in website. Select the option of Check Challan Status. You will get the option of Challan Number, Vehicle Number, and Driving License Number (DL). Select the option of Vehicle Number. Fill in the required information asked and click on 'Get Detail'. Now the challan status will appear.
How to fill traffic challan online
Go to https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/. Fill in the required details and captcha related to the challan and click on Get Details. A new page will open on which the details of the challan will be displayed. Find the challan you want to pay. Along with the challan, the option of online payment will appear, click on it. Fill in the payment-related information. Confirm payment. Now your online challan has been filled.
