Bharat Bandh 2022 All India Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation (BAMCEF) has called a Bharat Bandh on 25 May i.e. today. This Bharat Bandh is being done with the demand of the Central Government to conduct a caste-based census of other backward castes. Bahujan Mukti Party and All India Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation (BAMCEF) are working together for this Bharat Bandh. He has also got the support of Bahujan Kranti Morcha.
What is the demand of those who shut down India?
BAMCEF may have appealed for a Bharat Bandh on all the issues, but mainly the demand for caste census is there. BAMCEF Bharat Bandh is being done due to the refusal of the Central Government to conduct a caste-based census of Other Backward Castes.

Bharat Bandh did not get the support of any major party
Some Dalit political parties have supported the Bharat Bandh for the demand for caste census by BAMCEF, but the support of any major political party has not been received. BAMCEF President Vaman Meshram said that our Bharat Bandh movement has been supported by Rashtriya Parivartan Morcha, Bharat Mukti Morcha, Bahujan Mukti Morcha, and many other organizations. He said that our main demand is that the matter of counting the number of castes should also be included in the census. The call for Bharat Bandh by BAMCEF for the demand for caste census has not got the support of any major party so far. However, all the parties demanding caste census are calling BAMCEF's decision better, but refraining from taking to the road with it and extending their support.
