Heavy rain alert in 5 states 10 killed in UP, 11 in Bihar due to lightning; 7 people washed away in floods in Andhra Pradesh

It is raining in most of the states of the country. There is a flood-like situation in many places. In the last 24 hours, 11 people died in Bihar and 10 people in Uttar Pradesh due to lightning. So far 7 people have lost their lives due to the floods in the Godavari river in Andhra Pradesh. Five people died due to drowning in Rajasthan's Jodhpur.

 

More than 100 people have died in Gujarat and 110 in Maharashtra since the onset of the monsoon. At the same time, 197 people have lost their lives in Assam this year due to floods and landslides.

 

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain may occur in some areas of Goa, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Rajasthan, and Gujarat in the next 24 hours. At the same time, there is a possibility of light rain in Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi, and Haryana.

 

Rajasthan: 5 people died due to drowning in water in two areas of Jodhpur

 

Water has been filled in a deep pit formed due to illegal mining of soil in Bawdi town of Jodhpur. On Tuesday afternoon, around 2.30 pm, 5 children of a nearby settlement had gone to take a bath here. All five started drowning as soon as they got into the water. Nearby people rescued one child, but the other four drowned.

 

The second incident took place in the Beri Ganga flowing in the Mandore area. At around 2 pm on Tuesday, a 10-year-old youth living nearby in the area of ​​the river's spring was washed away in a strong current. He went for a walk with two of his friends. People came into the water to save him but could not save him.

 

Last 24 hours: Rajasthan received 84 percent of the rain in the entire monsoon in 24 hours. Till Tuesday evening, up to 180 mm of rain has been recorded here. At the same time, the entire state has received more than 55% rain so far in this monsoon season.

 

Next 24 hours: There is a warning of heavy rain and lightning in 24 districts of the state today and tomorrow. Jodhpur is likely to receive maximum rain.

 

Madhya Pradesh: Yellow alert for rain in 13 districts

 

Last 24 hours: Many districts of the state received torrential rains on Tuesday. After this many places got flooded. It includes Bhopal, Guna, Sagar, and Betul, where more than 1 inch of water fell.

 

Next 24 hours: Alert has been issued in 13 districts of the state regarding heavy rains. Rainfall up to 115.5 mm is likely in Ratlam, Shajapur, Agar, Dewas, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Sheopur, Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Anuppur, Dindori, and Umaria districts.

 

Himachal Pradesh: More than 100 crore were damaged due to floods, and the rain is wreaking havoc in Himachal Pradesh. Somewhere the clouds are bursting and somewhere there is a flood in the drains. Due to this, there has been a loss of more than 100 crores to the movable and immovable property. The Chief Minister has directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the management of calamities due to heavy rains.

 

Last 24 hours: Landslide occurred in Kullu district on Tuesday. Due to this, the Bagipul-Jaon road was blocked. However, no damage has been reported. On the other hand, it rained in Shimla too. This made the weather a little cooler.

 

Next 24 hours: The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in the state for the next four days. Director of the department Surendra Pal said that Yellow Alert has been issued on 26 and 27 July and Orange Alert on 28-29 July in the plains and mid-mountain areas.

 

Uttar Pradesh: 10 killed in lightning strike

 

Last 24 hours: On Tuesday evening, there was heavy rain in many cities in UP. Kanpur received the heaviest rain of this monsoon. 16 mm of rain was recorded here in two hours. Water entered houses and factories. On the other hand, 10 people died in the state due to lightning in heavy rain.

 

Next 24 hours: Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Chandauli, Mau, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Banda, Agra, and Meerut in the next 24 hours. The department says that similar weather is expected till July 30.
