
Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath reached a Dalit's house in Gorakhpur on Friday and ate khichdi to carry out the 40-year-old tradition of Gorakshpeeth. CM reached the house of Dalit Amrit Lal Bharti at around 12.30 pm on Friday in Piru Shaheed locality of Manbela of Gorakhpur. He asked Amrit Lal about his condition and by eating khichdi, he carried out the old tradition of Gorakhnath temple.
People eager to get a glimpse of the Chief Minister in Dalit Basti
Since Friday morning, the employees of the Municipal Corporation were busy polishing the Piru Shaheed Dalit settlement of Manbela. By noon, the settlement started looking completely clean. There was no limit to the enthusiasm of the people of the locality regarding the arrival of the Chief Minister. People climbed on the roofs of their respective houses to see the Chief Minister. At around 12:30 pm, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the house of Dalit Amrit Lal. Due to the pre-scheduled program, khichdi, curd, vegetables, papad were made at Amrit Lal's house.
40 years old tradition of eating khichdi at Dalit's house
The Chief Minister gave the message of social harmony by eating khichdi at Amrit Lal's house. Let us tell you that the tradition of eating khichdi in the house of Dalit is about 40 years old. Amrit Lal's family was excited about the arrival of the Chief Minister since morning. Preparations were being made in his house since morning. Amrit Lal is an old BJP worker. His family is associated with the Gorakhnath temple for nearly 30 years.
Khichdi will be offered to Guru Gorakshanath tomorrow
Khichdi will be offered to Guru Gorakshanath in the temple on January 15. Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will first offer khichdi to the temple at around three in the morning and then the Nepal royal family. After this, the doors of the temple will be opened for the common devotees. Because of the increasing number of corona infections, the temple management has made masks mandatory for the devotees coming to offer khichdi. Those devotees who will not have a mask will be provided with a mask by the temple administration. Separate entrances have been made for female and male devotees.
