Motilal Singh, the camp office in charge of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Gorakhnath temple, died in a road accident late on Thursday night. His wife is also seriously injured in the accident. The accident took place at around one o'clock on Thursday night near Khajauli outpost of Basti district on Gorakhpur-Lucknow four lane. Motilal Singh's wife has been admitted to Baba Raghavdas Medical College, Gorakhpur in critical condition.

Both the people were going from Gorakhpur to Lucknow by Scorpio. It is being told that due to the driver's sleep, the vehicle suddenly fell into a ditch on the side of the road, in which both the husband and wife were seriously injured.
Both the people were brought to Gorakhnath Hospital in Gorakhpur, where Motilal Singh was declared brought dead by the doctors. Motilal Singh had retired from the post of Additional Municipal Officer in the Municipal Corporation. After this Gorakhnath was giving his service in the temple.
