Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan blamed JDU for the split in his party. He rejected the decisions taken by the faction led by his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, saying the party's constitution does not give him any such authority. In his first interaction with the media after the split in the party, he described himself as the 'son of a lion' and said that he would fight for the party founded by his father Ram Vilas Paswan.
Blaming JD(U) for the partition, he shrugged off questions about the BJP's role in the development and said what has happened is an internal matter for which he will not target others. He said that if Hanuman had to ask for help from Ram, then he would listen to Hanuman and he would to Ram. It is known that during the Bihar assembly elections, Chirag Paswan had called himself Hanuman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Ram.
Tried to talk to the uncle - Chirag Paswan
LJP leader Chirag Paswan said that "All this happened when I was ill. I also tried to talk to my uncle at that time but I failed." He said that the "appointment of the Leader of the House is the decision of the Parliamentary Board and not the sitting MP. There have been reports that I have been removed from the post of national president of the party. According to the party's constitution, the national president can be removed only when he dies or resigns.
Chirag said that "If my uncle had told me that he wanted to become the leader of the parliamentary party, I would have been ready. During the Bihar elections, even before, even after that, attempts were being made continuously by some people and especially by the Janata Dal-United (JDU) to break our party. I fought the election with the full support of my party. Some people were not ready to follow the path of struggle. My uncle himself did not play any role in the election campaign. Many more MPs of my party were busy in their elections.
