Corona in the country: 2.58 lakh new cases, 1.51 lakh patients cured in last 24 hours; Cases decreased by 13% in Delhi

In the last 24 hours, 2 lakh 58 thousand 89 new corona infections have been found in the country. During this, 1 lakh 51 thousand 740 people have been cured, while 385 people died. The number of active cases has gone up to 16 lakh 56 thousand 341. Active cases i.e. patients undergoing corona treatment. A day before this, there were 2,71,202 cases of corona infection.

Condition of 5 most affected states


1. Maharashtra: Infection rate in Mumbai reduced from 30% to 13.7%


41327 new cases of corona have been reported in Maharashtra on Sunday. During this, 40,386 people were discharged and 29 people died. The total active cases in the state have gone up to 2.65 lakh. So far 72.11 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 68 lakh people have been cured, while 1,41,808 people have died. The positivity rate in the state is 19.67%. Here, the good news is that the daily infection rate in Mumbai has come down from 30% to 13.7%. However, the Maharashtra Covid Task Force says that it will have to wait 1 week to know whether the corona has reached the peak or the peak is ending.


2. Karnataka: The number of active cases crosses one lakh

On Sunday, 34,047 people were found infected here, while 5902 people were cured and 13 people died. So far 32.20 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 28.13 lakh people have been cured, while 38,431 people died. Here too, the number of active cases has exceeded 1 lakh. Now 1,97,982 patients are being treated here. Here the positivity rate has been 19.29%.


3. Tamil Nadu: Positivity rate rises to 17.04%

Here on Sunday, 23,975 new cases were reported during 24 hours, while 11469 patients were cured and 22 people died. So far, more than 29.39 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 27.60 lakh people have been cured, while 36,989 people have died. The total active cases here are 1,42,476. The positivity rate in Tamil Nadu has increased to 17.04%. On this first Saturday, the positivity rate here was 16%.


4. Delhi: Cases decreased by 13% on Sunday as compared to Saturday

In the last 24 hours, 18,286 new cases of the corona were reported in Delhi, which is 13% less than the 20,718 cases found on Saturday. The positivity rate in the capital is 27.87%. In the capital, 28 people have died during the last 24 hours. Although 21,846 patients have also been cured. The total active cases in the capital now stand at 89819. The total number of infected has reached 17.09 lakh, out of which 15.94 lakh people have been cured. So far 25,363 people have died in the capital.


5. West Bengal: 18.89 lakh people infected so far

On Saturday, 14,938 new cases were found in West Bengal. In Bengal, 9973 patients have been cured during this period, while 36 people have died. The positivity rate here is 27.73%. A total of 18.89 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 17.17 lakh people have recovered. A total of 20,088 people have died due to corona in the state so far. Now the total active cases in Bengal are 1 lakh 60 thousand 305.

1. Rajasthan

Here on Sunday, 9,669 people were found infected, while 4686 people were cured and 6 people died. So far, more than 10.37 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.65 lakh people have been cured, while 9,005 people died. There are 63,405 active cases here.


2. Madhya Pradesh

On Sunday, 6,380 people were found infected here. 1785 people have been cured in the state. So far, more than 8.30 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.90 lakh people have been cured, while 10,545 people died. 30,109 patients are currently undergoing treatment.


3. Uttar Pradesh

On Sunday, 17138 people were found infected here. 8802 people have been cured and 10 deaths have been recorded in the state. So far, more than 18.34 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.07 lakh people have been cured, while 22,963 people died. 103474 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state.


4. Punjab

On Sunday, 7,318 people were found infected here. 3704 people were cured and 15 patients died. So far, more than 6.63 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 6.05 lakh people have been cured, while 16,769 people died. A total of 41,250 patients are currently undergoing treatment.


5. Haryana

On Sunday, 8,900 people were found infected here and 4,361 people were cured. 6 people have died here. So far, more than 8.46 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.85 lakh people have been cured, while 10,104 people died. A total of 51,253 are currently undergoing treatment.


6. Gujarat

Here on Sunday, 10,150 people were found infected, while 6096 were cured and 8 people died. So far, more than 9.26 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.52 lakh people have been cured, while 10,159 people died. A total of 63,610 patients are currently undergoing treatment.


7. Chhattisgarh

Here on Sunday, 3963 people were found infected. 3303 people were cured in the state and 7 patients died. So far, more than 10.59 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.13 lakh people have been cured, while 13,654 people died. A total of 32,792 patients are currently undergoing treatment.


8. Bihar

Here on Sunday, 5410 people were found infected. 5809 people were cured and 9 died in the state. So far, more than 7.87 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.39 lakh people have been cured, while 12,136 people died. A total of 35,508 patients are currently undergoing treatment.


9. Jharkhand

On Sunday, 2,776 people were found infected here. 4114 people were cured in the state and 4 patients died. So far, more than 4.05 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 3.68 lakh people have been cured, while 5,203 people have died. A total of 31,747 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
