
The state government has extended the time of the Covid curfew by two hours. Now the Covid curfew will be implemented across the state from 10 pm instead of 11 pm. The government has issued a new SOP, which will be applicable from January 7 till further orders. Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu issued a new SOP on Wednesday amid the increasing corona infection in the state. Under this, now the Covid curfew will be from 10 in the night to 6 in the morning.
All shops can be opened only from 6 am to 10 pm. Apart from this, if people coming from outside states do not have a certificate for the second dose of the Covid vaccine, then they will be allowed entry only after showing the RTPCR negative report within 72 hours.
The government has made it clear that those who ignore the Covid rules in crowded places will be punished. Strict action will also be taken against those who do not follow the rules of masks and social distancing. An awareness campaign will be conducted in all the districts to protect against the Omicron virus of Corona.
Government extended school timings amid rising corona
The government has issued a decree to open the schools from class 1st to 5th full time instead of three hours. Because of the increasing cases of corona infection in the state, this decision of the government is being surprised.
Orders to this effect have been issued to the Director-General School Education on behalf of Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram on Wednesday. In which it has been said that in all the government, non-government, aided, private educational institutions of the state, classes one to five will now be conducted according to the predetermined period instead of three hours.
There is a school holiday in the state till January 14, after which the schools will open as per the pre-determined time. Because of the increasing cases of the corona, where all the restrictions are being implemented across the country, in Uttarakhand, everyone is expressing surprise about the extension of school timings of young children. During the briefing after the cabinet meeting held late on Wednesday evening, the official spokesperson and cabinet minister were questioned in this regard by journalists, but they deferred it by saying that it was not a subject of the cabinet.
