Corona returns in UP, one death in Amroha: 261 new cases found in 24 hours, 75 in Ghaziabad and 18 in Lucknow; Infection spread in the capital's schools

Corona cases are increasing continuously in Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday, 261 cases have been found in the state. The maximum number of 110 cases have been reported in Gautam Budh Nagar and 75 in Ghaziabad. Apart from this, 18-18 cases have been found in Lucknow and Agra districts. In Prayagraj-Varanasi, 4-4 patients suffering from corona have been found, while corona has been confirmed in 3-3 people of Meerut, Jhansi, and Barabanki. During this, a patient has also died in Amroha.

 

Noida and Ghaziabad became the epicenter of Corona

 

Noida and Ghaziabad have once again emerged as the epicenter of Corona. There have been 185 case reports in these two districts alone. Now the number of active cases in the state has increased to one thousand 384. However, 189 people have also recovered during this period.

 

Corona spread to two more schools in Lucknow

 

Corona infection is spreading rapidly in Lucknow too. On Wednesday, a total of 18 people have been found corona infected in the capital, including two girl students of the Cathedral and DPS. The cathedral and DPS have been closed as a precautionary measure till 29 April. Schools have been sanitized. Meanwhile, samples of those who came in contact with the infected students are being collected. The infection has been confirmed in a 9th student at Cathedral School. 57 students, teachers, and family members who came in contact with him have been investigated.

 

45 people were investigated in DPS

 

At the same time, 45 people who came in contact with DPS-positive students have been investigated. Apart from the students who came in contact with this, teachers and other staff are also involved. The reports of all these are likely to come today. Earlier, girl students at Law University and Lamart Girls College were found to be Kovid positive.

 

1 lakh 34 thousand 893 samples were tested in 24 hours

 

In UP, 1 lakh 34 thousand 893 samples were tested in a day. Earlier on Tuesday itself, CM Yogi had instructed the officers to increase the daily testing count to 1.5 lakh in the meeting of Team 9. According to government figures, 20 lakh 48 thousand 671 have been recovered from corona so far in the state. The daily infection rate in UP was 7.11 percent on January 17 and the highest at 7.78 percent on January 19, which came down to 0.1 percent in early April. Now the infection rate has gone up to 1.88 percent. At the same time, the recovery rate is 98.8 percent.

 

Vaccination figure crossed 31 crores

 

In Uttar Pradesh, the figure for corona vaccination has crossed 31 crores 29 lakh. According to Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Department, a total of 31 crores 29 lakh 72 thousand 607 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state. In people above the age of 18 years, 15 crores 29 lakh 43 thousand 10 have been given the first dose and 12 crores 95 lakh 66 thousand 76 has received both the doses.

 

Apart from this, 1 crore 32 lakh 92 thousand 859 between 15 and 17 years have been given the first dose and 90 lakh 93 thousand 758 have been given both doses in UP. At the same time, 46 lakh 26 thousand 776 children of 12 to 14 years have got the first dose and 1 lakh 45 thousand 913 has received both doses. Whereas the number of people applying pre-concussion dose is 27 lakh 41 thousand 8. On Tuesday, a day 6 lakh 33 thousand 339 doses of vaccine have been administered.
